Talis Aspire Digitised Content
Talis launches digitisation software service for universities
Talis has launched a new software service. Talis Aspire Digitised Content was developed with the collaboration of university library partners and The Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA), using data supplied via the OCLC xISBN service.
The new software service is expected to help universities and colleges in the UK manage complex digitisation workflows, and help ensure they are compliant with copyright legislation.
The tool is expected to help lecturers raise digitisation requests quickly and easily from their desktops. Libraries should benefit from easy reporting and management tools that integrate with existing technology. In addition, learners will get easy online access to digitised content to support their studies, claims Talis.
The application is delivered as SaaS and uses CLA's new API, so that universities in the UK can get real-time copyright permissions.
