SoutronGLOBAL and SoutronSOLO

Soutron, which supplies library automation systems for corporate and special libraries, has announced a new version of SoutronGLOBAL, its ILS software for special library automation.

Version 3, which is built entirely for the web, promises flexibility and ease of use. It also has streamlined functionality and a great look and feel, according to Soutron. It includes functionality for cataloguing, thesaurus management, opac, loans, serials, acquisitions, reports, Loose-Leaf, Enquiry Management, Self Issue, Database Design and System Configuration, XML Output.

The company is also releasing a new library automation product, SoutronSOLO. This product is designed for smaller libraries who want ease of use and simplicity. The two products share the same core technologies but are designed for different organisational needs.
