Oxford Journals opens Chinese office
Oxford Journals, a division of Oxford University Press (OUP), is opening a representative office in China.
Although OUP has had a presence in China for many years, this is the first time there has been dedicated academic journals support in the region, says the company. The new arrangement is expected to help Oxford Journals strengthen and develop relationships with leading Chinese researchers and societies.
Oxford Journals already publishes on behalf of several Chinese societies and research institutions and further initiatives should be announced over the coming months. ‘Scholarly research in China continues to flourish, and the prospects for further development in the region are excellent,’ commented Martin Richardson, managing director of Oxford Journals.
