Gale and YBP Library Services agree on e-book distribution

YBP Library Services, a Baker & Taylor company, will distribute e-books to academic libraries on behalf of Gale, part of Cengage Learning. This agreement is expected to expand distribution of the Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) e-book collection, Literature Criticism Online, and the CODiE-finalist Gale Directory Library.

'Many have declared 2009 the "Year of the eBook," due to its sudden surge in popularity,' said Patrick C. Sommers, president of Gale. 'In response to greater market demand for books and resources in electronic format, we are expanding distribution into the academic market with this trusted partner.'
